  68.                           MONEY JARS
  69. This program is the electronic equivalent of your grandmother's method
  70. of depositing your grandfather's pay into several "budget category" jars
  71. to be sure that she would have the money to pay the bills when they came
  72. due.
  73.  
  74. You first set up budget categories, with automatic adjustment of each
  75. category for varying budget periods, ie/ weekly for food, monthly for
  76. rent, annual for Christmas.
  77.  
  78. You can then automatically distribute your deposited pay check to your
  79. several budget categories in accordance with your budgeted amounts,
  80. corrected for the individual budget amount and period.
  81.  
  82. You then can see how much money is available in each category before you
  83. decide to spend the money.
  84.  
  85. When you spend money, you merely deduct it from the appropriate budget
  86. category(s).
  87.  
  88. You can also easily modify your budget categories, budget amounts, and
  89. the allocated balances to each category if you need to do so. (Budgets
  90. are made to be broken - or at least adjusted as needed, but at least you
  91. know where you are rather than driving blind.)

  142. The MONEY JARS program contains the following required files:

  144.      MNYJAR1.EXE    The main program
  145.      UserId.txt      An ID and date file
  146.      Budget.dta      Your saved budget data
  147.      *.txt           16 Help text files

  149. To install:
  150.      - Create a new folder(directory) with a name of your choice.
  151.        (Perhaps MUNYJARS if not previously used).
  152.  
  153.      - Unzip the MUNYJARS.ZIP file to this folder/directory using PKUNZIP
  154.        or some compatible file decompression program.
  155.  
  156.        If you received the program from someone else who had already
  157.        decompressed the files, then simply copy all of the above files
  158.        to your new directory. (You may re-register to your name by
  159.        revising the Registration file from the pull down on-screen menu.)
  160.  
  161.      - The executable program is MunyJars.exe.  It may be started by any
  162.        of the usual methods provided by Windows.  The most convenient
  163.        will probably be to include it as an icon on your desk top or to
  164.        include it in a group with your other financial programs.

  166. To Uninstall:

  168.      - Simply delete all files in your MunyJars directory, and then
  169.      delete the directory and any icon that you may have created.  No
  170.      extra files have been added to your Windows or Windows/Systems
  171.      directories.

  175. for continued use.
